How we work
Read the StatutesMembers decide our direction
The General Meeting is FAME’s highest body and meets at least once a year. It elects the Committee and Internal Auditor and approves the association’s direction and its activity and financial reports. Voting is open to members granted voting rights by the Statutes.
The Committee manages day-to-day activities
The Committee has 3 to 7 members and meets at least quarterly. It prepares the activity plan and budget, keeps the association running and approves expert publications and statements. It elects a Chair, Vice-Chair and Treasurer from its members.
Roles have a clear term
The General Meeting elects Committee members and the Internal Auditor for 24 months. Re-election is possible. The Chair may serve for no more than two consecutive terms; re-election is possible after a break of one full term.
Finances have their own oversight
The Internal Auditor checks financial management, compliance with the Statutes and decisions of the association’s bodies. The Internal Auditor submits an audit report to the General Meeting and may not also be a Committee member. Any surplus is used exclusively for the association’s objectives.
